at Berger Park Cultural Center

Instructor: Tiffany Seybert

About Tiffany: Tiffany Seybert has studied with luminaries of the musical world. She earned her music degree at Roosevelt in Chicago. She's also the founder of Tarpit, one of four bands to start Crank Records in the 90's. She completed a 30-year career in global banking and is now a fintech exec, working for a UK company at her Rogers Park office. She has advanced Kundalini teaching credentials and has taught publicly and privately for ten years. In Jan 2016 she piloted a three-month program called Cop To Yoga® at the Chicago Police 24th district. The short, free, weekly classes are comprised of Kundalini breath work meditations done while listening to classical music. It's a powerful realignment that quickly delivers a calming counter balance to the unique stresses of being a CPD officer. The cops voted unanimously to continue the program; we're in our tenth month. The goal is to make Cop To Yoga programs available to all CPD personnel. Instructor: Vanessa Thompson

About Vanessa: Vanessa took her first yoga class in Chengdu, China during a study abroad in 2008. She could barely understand what the teacher was saying, but the sense of community and well-being needed no translation. Ever since then Vanessa has been going to yoga classes in her hometown of Iowa City, and in Chicago. Through yoga she found a greater awareness of breath, mind and body. Yoga has been a way for Vanessa to step away from the distractions of life to focus on the challenge of linking movement and mind. The combination of challenge and the feeling of physical and mental release at the end of class is something she carries with her off the mat. Whenever Vanessa moves to a new neighborhood the first things she looks for are the yoga studio and the library. Over the years Vanessa has been a part of many yoga communities, and been inspired by some wonderful teachers. Having been given such a great gift, in 2017 she completed the 200-hour teacher training program at Bloom Yoga in Chicago hoping to be able to inspire her own students. Vanessa believes in creating a space that is welcoming to all students where everyone can follow their own path.

Lara_Headshot_2017+(1).jpg

Instructor: Lara Levitan

Lara began an on-again/off-again yoga practice in 2005, but it wasn't until she stopped looking around the room during yoga class that she finally committed. Since then, she has enjoyed the way all eight limbs of yoga have enriched and deepened her life, relationships, and even her writing practice. As a graduate of Bloom Yoga Studio's 200 hour yoga teacher training, Lara strives to share with each of her students what she has learned: that healthy, safe yoga brings joy, connection, and a contagious glow of well-being. Lara's love for slowing down shines through thoughtful, meditative sequencing suitable for all levels, including beginners, with plenty of time left for savasana.

Chris+Natali+Yoga+bio+picture.jpg

Instructor: Chris Natali

About Chris: Chris discovered yoga in 2006 when searching for a technique to quiet his mind. What he found was a path leading to mental and physical stability. He believes yoga is a voyage into self-discovery and increased self-awareness.

After 11 years of yoga practice, Chris earned his RYT®200 certification from Bloom Yoga Studio’s teacher training program. He integrates creative sequencing, his love of Sanskrit, and a dose of humor into each of his classes.

Chris views each class as an opportunity to weave yogic philosophy into the physical movement of the postures. He is particularly interested in how a dedicated yoga practice can help his students find calm and consistency in their lives outside the studio. Above all, Chris hopes to provide a safe place for each student to move along their journey into yoga.
