Instructor: Kate Maley
About Kate: Kate was introduced to yoga by her mom as a teenager, and has continually returned to the practice for the sense of calm, quiet, and strength it provides. She studied anthropology at Rutgers University and the University of Chicago and does research and advocacy around the social determinants of health, access to community resources, health disparities, and trauma and healing. Kate completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Bloom Yoga Studio in Chicago in 2017 and has taken additional training on adaptive yoga at Mind Body Solutions in Minnetonka, MN. Kate seeks to create a safe, meditative, and exploratory environment in her classes, balancing effort and engagement with nourishing, restorative ease.
