Rose Freeman stage directs, produces, and stage manages theatrical performance in multiple performance mediums. Freeman has created national fine art shows for M Gallery of Fine Art, acted as managing producing director for Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre, and production managed a national tour for Feld Entertainment's Monster Jam Monster Truck Show. Freeman stage directs found space work, burlesque, and opera. Previous productions include Nico Muhly's Dark Sisters, Po'Chop's Black As Eye Wanna Be, Hannah Ii Epstein's Punk Punk, Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Medium, Pippi’s Lost Stockings: a Burlesque Satire, Forest Fantasies with Lingerie Lyrique, and Alice by Micheal Wise. Freeman has been honored to assist and collaborate with great artists such as Elizabeth Margolius, Sean Graney, and Joanie Schultz. Favorite burlesque collaborations include Siren Jinx, Po’Chop, and Mia Divine. Freeman is a company member of Third Eye Theatre Ensemble, an Artistic Associate with Nothing Without a Company, in on the Directors Lab Chicago Steering Committee, has spoken on the emerging artists panel during the 2011 Chicago Theatre Symposium, and participated in the 2012 Chicago Directors Lab.
Megan Richards studied theater at Ripon College and began her career as a stage manager for various productions throughout the Chicago area. She has directed many short plays for Bring Your Own Theater Production as well as "No Exit" for Truck Truck theater. She is currently the managing director of Bring Your Own Theater and is in pre-production for Cinderfella by Cassandra Bell studios, which she will be directing.
Emma Couling is a Chicago-based director, podcaster and non-profit administrator. As a director her work has been produced at 20% Theater (Little Women), Tall Ship Adventures of Chicago (Pirates of Penzance), Underscore, Idle Muse, 906, and EDGE of Orion. Her podcasting can be heard on Dark Night Live, and in Spring of 2017 she will launch a new series of radio plays based on novels by women with 20%. She spends her days working as the Development Manager at Victory Gardens Theater, and when she has the chance she travels home to The Beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan–to help curate and cultivate her family’s walking tour business. In her free time, she plays the piano, hosts conversations advocating for feminism and anti-racism, and rides her bike. Ms. Couling is an avid reader of Jane Austen, a passionate Harry Pot-head and a strident feminist.
