Audition Info for #DadaWillSaveUs

Throughout this year, Nothing Without a Company will be workshopping #DadaWillSaveUs, a devised piece leading to full production, opening in March of 2019. We are seeking a group of committed and diverse artists who can join us for the February workshop with hopes of continuing forward.

Synopsis: Three DIY kids decide that bringing back Dada is the answer to handling The Trump Administration. When they pull off a large scale Dadaist act of protest, the consequences unfurl in ways they could not even imagine, local and global. #DadaWillSaveUs is a devised play about the aftermath of their movement. 

Audition Date: Monday, January 29th and Tuesday, January 30th

Pay: Stipend for full production in March 2019.

Time Commitment: Sunday February 11th, 10am-6pm, Monday February 12th, 6pm-10pm, Tuesday February 13th, 6pm-10pm, Sunday February 18th, 10am-6pm, Monday February 19th, 6pm-10pm, Tuesday February 20th, 6pm-10pm, Sunday February 25th, 10am-6pm, Monday February 26th, 6pm-10pm, and Tuesday February 27th, 6pm-10pm.

Materials To Prepare: Choose a cause, movement, or idea that you are passionate about. Prepare a pitch or presentation that you would use to convince others of the importance of the ideas and to sympathize with the cause. The pitch can be for any audience in any setting or scenario. Your pitch should include: a catchy slogan (if the cause already has a slogan, come up with a new one), a prop that supports your pitch, and a showcase of one of your special skills. Your pitch should be 1 minute in length and include 15 seconds of non-verbal performance. Please arrive 15 minutes early and be prepared to stay for a minimum of 30 minutes.
