Nothing Without a Company seeks a Stage Manager for the New World Play Festival. This position is a contract position for this individual production with the contract ending at the conclusion of the production run on October 27, 2018.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Must be in attendance for all rehearsals and performances, including tech rehearsals and invited dress.
Rehearsal period beginning October 1st and ending October 24th
Rehearsals at Berger Park Cultural Center
(6205 N. Sheridan Road) and 1127 W. Granville Ave.
Performance dates: October 11-13, 18-20, 25-27
Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays @ 7pm
Hours: Between 6pm and 9pm weekdays with some weekend daytime
Stage Manager oversees all technical elements of rehearsals: responsible for lighting, sound, and stage elements as well as recording placement of props and set pieces
Works with production staff to ensure lighting/sound cues and any other technical elements are implemented and run smoothly
Collect and distribute any script changes
Create and distribute pre-set lists and run sheet with House Management crew
Share rehearsal report duties with Assistant Director
Create and distribute performance reports for each show
Find solutions to potential safety problems
Communicate to Producer, Director, Assistant Director, and Production Manager in a timely way
Monitors run-time of each show in rehearsals and performances
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or comparable professional experience in stage management.
Excellent with written and verbal communications skills.
Proficient with soundboards and stage lighting schemes.
