What YOU Made Possible in 2025

This year, Nothing Without a Company brought communities together through film, performance, fundraisers, and cultural connection — all fueled by artists and audiences who believe in bold storytelling.

2025 Season Highlights

  • Our inaugural Junior Board hosted their first fundraiser — Kick Back with NWaC at Hammy Wammy — raising over $2,000 to support the 2nd cohort of youth leaders!

  • Returned once again to Argyle Night Market, holding space for conversations about queer and AANHPI theatre on July 3rd.

  • Helped develop and presented a workshop of “The Trouble with my Hair” by Ada Cheng at CAMOC on July 12, including a thoughtful post-show talkback.

  • Cleared out props, costumes, and treasures at our Lakewood-Balmoral Yard Sale on Sept 20, raising $1,854.25 for future programming.

  • Together with BearCat Productions & Rishi Productions, we created “Queer Up the Details” for the 48 Hour Film Project Chicago. World Premiere: Davis Theatre (Aug 26) Awards Screening: Music Box Theatre (Sept 16) Award: Best Trailer

  • On November 18 we hosted Not One Batu: The Film Experience with Rishi Productions at Facets Film Forum, celebrating our groundbreaking 2018 production — and raised $4,000 toward the Chicago premiere of Aloha Fry-day, the final act in Hannah Ii-Epstein’s trilogy. We also partnered with Chicago eateries Aloha Eats and Kanin to bring ono musubi to our VIP guests.
