The Living Canvas is partnering with Nothing Without a Company to develop a new work created and devised by trans voices entitled [Trans]formation to explore the naked truth of gender identity.
The Express Yourself Gala and Fashion Show is our largest fundraiser for this project. Proceeds from the event will go toward [Trans]formation.
For the fashion show, designers will create looks with gender-fluidity in mind, and members of the community can dance down the runway showcasing how they express themselves.
Fashion with a Purpose:
We want everyone to know that you are never alone. The ability to be your authentic self is true freedom and is something that is all too often lacking for our LGTBQ community. We feel that fashion is a tremendous mode of self-representation, and at the Express Yourself Gala and Fashion Show, we are ready to smash the boundaries of the binary and embrace the range of gender identity and expression on the catwalk.
EARLY BIRD SALE: August 29th- September 24th
VIP (30 available): $50 per person - Includes appetizers, gift bag including 1 raffle ticket, front row seat for the fashion show, early access to silent auction and raffle, and table service from cash bar.
General Admission (70 available): $25 - Includes seat for the fashion show, access to silent auction and raffle, and cash bar.
