Not Without Company Film Festival marks the launch of Nothing Without a Company’s new Film Department and the beginning of an expanded vision for how we tell stories on screen.

For over a decade, Nothing Without a Company has built immersive, site-specific theatre in Chicago. With the creation of our Film Department, we are deepening that commitment to storytelling through film. This inaugural festival is both a celebration of where we have been and a fundraiser for where we are headed. Proceeds from this event will directly support the development of future NWaC film projects.

Program Overview

Our inaugural lineup showcases nine short films created in collaboration with partners including BearCat Productions and Rishi Productions, originally produced for the 48 Hour Film Project Chicago competition. Some films will screen in their original 48-hour cut, while others have been re-edited for festival submissions and new audiences.
