Parker Seavey (He/They) is a student at North Park University where they are the president of Queers and Allies diversity club and is currently studying to get a Bachelors of Literature and a minor in Theology. Parker moved to Chicago just over a year ago in order to become a part of a larger community and to follow educational opportunities. He works for the Swedish American Museum and Kanin making a variety of cultural foods and has been working in kitchens for over six years. He has been creating and editing their artistic ideas for years while working to understand their own identity and connection with others. As he often says, “There is no better place to connect with someone and learn their history than behind a stove, whipping up a shared meal.” He has combined a love for the physical and performance arts with their passion for creating community and safe places for marginalized voices. They are excited to have the opportunity to intern for Nothing Without a Company, and he is eager to continue helping create a space for marginalized voices to be heard.
