Nothing Without a Company presents

CHICAGO (March 12th, 2018) - Coming off of their extended run of Bobby Pin Girls, Chicago non-profit theatre company Nothing Without a Company is pleased to announce their newest production Cornerstone. Conceived by Company Ensemble Member Jake Fruend*, written by Literary Manager Kevin Sparrow*, and directed by Company Ensemble Member Rose Freeman*, this world premiere production opens Thursday, April 5th at the 3rd floor of Artspace 8, 900 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL.

The Cornerstone experience begins as soon as you enter the space. The show takes place at the Cornerstone Lecture Series. Cornerstone encourages participants to become “the architects of their own lives” through individual motivational approaches and large group awareness training. Cornerstone promises "to harness your passion and unleash your unbridled potential" through wildly misappropriated design and architectural terms. Tonight's session begins like any other, but as secrets about the organization's true mission emerge, the attendees begin to rebel. Cornerstone’s goal is to challenge our definitions of allegiance, especially when we are looking for a place of belonging in a disconnected world. What are we willing to sign ourselves up for? Where do we draw our lines when we believe in a person or organization? Are the factors that drive our decisions really in our control?

Nothing Without a Company is partnering with Artspace 8, a 14,000 square foot gallery located on the 3rd and 4th level of the 900 North Michigan Shops. Previews are Tuesday, April 3rd and Wednesday the 4th at 7pm. Opening night is Thursday, April 5th at 7pm, and Cornerstone will close on Sunday, April 29th at 6pm. The show runs Thursdays to Saturdays at 7pm, and Sundays at 6pm. Cornerstone will be performed on the third level of 900 North Michigan Shops at 900 N. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL, 60611. Previews are $10. General admission sessions are $25 or $30 at the door. Nothing Without a Company offers half-price rates for students and industry. Register for your session at
